In belated honor of the Battle of Lepanto, one of the times when Christendom saved itself from being overrun by the Religion of Peace, for dinner I may make spinach and bluecheese stuffed chicken breasts wrapped in bacon. And Pinot G.

stones and nuts: yeesh! sometimes metaphors can be totally misleading!

In his Summa Contra Gentiles, Aquinas distinguishes between the truth of a metaphor and the truth of analogy. A metaphor may be both affirmed and denied without contradiction, though an analogy, despite its limited reach, cannot be so treated. Are we clear now?

Lepanto dinner was good. Rich bacon flavor around the tender chicken, with pungent hot and runny gorgonzola and spinach inside...and the cold brisk Pinot Grigio. Yum!
